City Temporary Works appreciates and values all the individuals involved in a construction project. We know that everyone works tirelessly, but it's of paramount importance that everyone works safely too. We emphasize and promote safety in the workplace based on strict codes of practice and BS5975:2019, the British standard code for temporary works procedures. We are dedicated to assisting all site workers, including the director who implements the construction procedures all the way to the operatives who are installing and removing temporary works.
In all our projects we strive to inspire awareness of quality standards through education and support by sharing the company's procedures. We train temporary works coordinators, supervisors and engineers to implement the most rigorous standards of good practice throughout the project life.
I-Works Web Portal
Innovation inspires our vision, and creativity helps to bring our concepts to life. We are proud to be the first in our industry to have developed an integrated works online app, I-WORKS, to speed up the process of establishing and implementing site procedures safely and correctly. I-WORKS gives our clients a quick and easy way to access site support for their temporary works, and we also provide on-site training for operatives when required.
What are temporary works?
If you are visiting this website, you probably already know or have an idea what temporary works are. But to be more precise, temporary works are described by the British standards BS5975:2019 as an "engineered solution" provided to support or protect structures during construction. It might be an existing structure or the permanent works of the site or an item of plant or equipment. It might also be the vertical sides or side-slopes of an excavation during construction operations on the site or to provide access.
Temporary engineering works are used to control stability, strength, deflection, fatigue, geotechnical effects and hydraulic effects within defined limits.

City Temporary Works appreciates all individuals involved int the construction as we know everyone works tirelessly, but most importantly is to go home safe It forms part of our passion and vision to assist sites from the director level (implementing the temporary works procedures) all the way to the operatives installing and removing the temporary works, assisting with spreading the awareness based on the codes of practice and BS 5975:2019.
As a team, we aim enrich our knowledge and experience by positively being creative providing clarity in our approach and solutions as we are resourceful team working tirelessly to meet our clients’ deadlines.
We like to share the experience in designing and executing project from the establishment of the project where we help value engineering for principle contractors as well as ground works and concrete frame contractors by planning and designing most efficiently.
We also spread the awareness and support throughout the project by producing company’s procedures as well as training the Temporary works coordinators, supervisors and engineers to follow and implement the procedures throughout the project life.As innovation forms part of our vision, we have used our creativity and developed a web portal and application to speed the process of understanding and implementing the procedures safely and correctly. We assure out clients the site support and train their operatives on site when required.
